C. Meyrick Payne, a Senior Partner of the Firm, has had more than 15 years of management consulting experience, including 6 years with McKinsey & Company, Inc. Mr. Payne is active in the firm's governance practice and leads the publishing client group.

At McKinsey, he specialized in financial and banking issues. In 1978, Mr. Payne left McKinsey to join GTE Telephone Operations as Director of Marketing. Subsequently, he became Chief Financial Officer of Reeves Communications Corporation, a major TV, film production, and direct marketing company. Mr. Payne formed his own consulting firm in 1984, which was acquired by Metapraxis, Inc. (a leading European designer and supplier of executive information systems) in 1988. At that time, he became CEO. His clients included numerous Fortune 500 companies, including Bristol-Myers Squibb, Simon & Schuster, Unilever, and American Maize. In addition, he did extensive work for The World Bank and United Nations' Development Fund.

Mr. Payne is a British Chartered Accountant and a CPA. He received his M.B.A. from Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College (1969). His early education was completed in England.
